Start the new year right — perfect your footstrike with this free audio lesson.

Every year I create a new audio lesson and make it available for free to help you start the new year on the right foot, so to speak. (And every year I try to resist making that pun and end up giving in.)

Here’s this year’s lesson, which I’m calling “Perfecting Your Footstrike” because it has that amazing effect. However, like any running form adjustment worth making, it has lots of other effects as well, including helping you lean beautifully and improving how you apply force to the ground and shift weight from leg to leg. It reduces IT band stress, improves symmetry, and reduces overpronation for those running in conventional trainers.

Please let me know your experiences with the lesson in the comments section. Enjoy and happy new year!

Maggy Burrowes sent through the link for your free ATM on footstrike but I missed the date! Gutted! If there any chance of still accessing this? Dx

I would like to try the free ATMs also but cannot find a link.
I was just listening to you on a podcast and enjoyed it very much.
I am also curious about your take on Chi Walking and Running as well.
My wife is trained in Feldenkrais and has been experimenting alittle bit after meeting the Chi guy
At Esalen and discovering his book in the Big Sur
      Library. Thanks, Benj

Hi Benj. I just took a look at the page and the player is there. Try again, perhaps from a different browser. Or access the same lesson by clicking on “Forget your Footstrike” on my homepage. Your wife might like the scan and infographic from “Become a Balanced Runner on my homepage.” My take on running is different from Danny Dreyer’s, though he’s right about a couple of things.

I’ve been consulting physios, osteos, doing yoga and strengthening exercises, you name it, but this is the most helpful thing I’ve ever encountered in my IT band healing quest. Thank-you! I will now be following the rest of your podcasts etc. for further enlightenment.
