Happy Wednesday! The Balanced Runner Indiegogo campaign is moving along nicely, 51% funded as I write this. For the next 5 days there’s an extra reason to spread the word and give it a boost: Curious.com has generously donated discounted memberships to campaign contributors!
A year and a half ago I created a 10-video course for Curious called How to Be a Healthy Runner. Since then nearly 2,000 people have taken it, with more than 10,000 having taken one of the lessons from that course or the other seven I’ve posted on Curious.
I created the course to accompany the training I offer through this website and in person, rather than to repeat it. It includes visual explanations of running technique, a video Feldenkrais lesson (the only one I’ve ever made), and all the other things you’re probably wondering about, including warming up, cooling down, how to choose footwear, how to cope with injury, and more.
With a Curious.com membership you can acccess my course as well as everything else on the site. It’s an all-you-can-eat buffet for hungry brains. Anything you would go to YouTube to learn how to do you can get a better version of — with interactive components, downloadable documents, and feedback from the teachers — on Curious. The cooking and language lessons, for instance, are awesome.
Everyone contributing to my Indiegogo campaign anytime between now and midnight Monday — even as little as $5! — will receive 20% off your first year’s Curious.com membership.
Please share this news with your friends! Use the social share buttons on the campaign page, to the left of the video. Sharing the campaign helps it succeed, not only because it lets more people who could benefit know about it, but also because Indiegogo keeps track of how widely the campaign is shared and how many people look at it, and makes it more visible on their site as those numbers go up.
Thank you for your help and support, and also for your understanding if you’re hearing about this campaign frequently. I’m working to make sure everyone interested in The Balanced Runner gets the news, and that may lead to some repeat news from time to time.
Enjoy the rest of the week. I’ll be back with a regular blog post on Sunday.
